Augustin Marchand d’Vins

26 Rue des Grands Augustins, 75006 Paris

This place is just…it’s a poem on the back of a black and white photograph. Bright red neon outside in a playful, inviting font. Inside, small (6 tables?), shadowy, and a plethora of a wine selection that always keeps you inspired and thirsty. Augustins is all about the pairings. The way the food and wine seem to know each other intimately; like old lovers who argue in the kitchen but finish one another’s sentences at the table. The plates are simple (but still perfect, of course). Ribboned cheese (seen here), terrine, small and medium sized bites. What a vibe, honestly. Reminder: it’s quite small, so reservations are a good idea. Before dinner, after dinner, whatever. Go, drink, and forget everything else.
