The best thing about New York dining is that the most casual, and laid back places can be the warm refuge from the outside chaos you’re searching for. Heidi’s is just that place. Not pretentious, but not lazy. Food that tastes almost home-cooked in a space that feels like someone’s kitchen.

We went during a February blizzard and their burger paired with their lobster mac and cheese was, for that moment, divine. Great wine list and lovely, personal service as well. Just pop into Heidi’s and stay a while.
